ttny.io provides comprehensive analytics for your shortened links, helping you understand how your audience interacts with your content. This guide explains the various metrics available and how to use them to optimize your marketing efforts.
Accessing Link Analytics
There are several ways to access analytics for your shortened links:
Dashboard Overview
Your dashboard provides a summary of overall link performance, including total clicks, top-performing links, and recent activity.
Individual Link Analytics
To view detailed metrics for a specific link:
- Navigate to the "Links" section in your dashboard
- Find the link you want to analyze
- Click the "Analytics" icon (chart symbol) next to the link
- This opens the detailed analytics page for that specific link
Analytics Dashboard
For a comprehensive view of all your links' performance:
- Click on "Analytics" in the main navigation sidebar
- This page displays aggregated data across all your links
- Use the filters to narrow down by date range, tags, or campaigns
Tip: You can save custom analytics views with specific filters for quick access in the future.
Key Metrics Explained
ttny.io provides several important metrics to help you understand your link performance:
Click Metrics
- Total Clicks: The overall number of times your link has been clicked
- Unique Clicks: The number of distinct users who have clicked your link (based on browser/device fingerprinting)
- Click-through Rate (CTR): For links used in campaigns, this shows the percentage of viewers who clicked the link
- Click Trends: Visualizes clicks over time, helping you identify patterns or spikes in traffic
Audience Insights
- Geographic Location: Shows where your clicks are coming from by country, region, and city
- Devices: Breaks down clicks by device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and operating system
- Browsers: Shows which web browsers your audience is using
- Language: Indicates the browser language settings of your visitors
Referral Sources
- Referrers: Shows which websites or platforms are sending traffic to your link
- Social Media: Breaks down clicks from different social media platforms
- Direct vs. Indirect: Distinguishes between direct clicks and those from other sources
Note: Some metrics are only available on Pro and Business plans. Free accounts have access to basic click data and limited geographic information.

Comparing Performance
Use the comparison feature to evaluate different links side by side:
- In the Analytics dashboard, select two or more links using the checkboxes
- Click "Compare" in the action menu
- View metrics for these links in a comparative format
Identifying Peak Times
The time-based analysis helps you understand when your audience is most active:
- Use the "Clicks by Time" chart to see which hours of the day generate the most clicks
- Check the "Clicks by Day" chart to identify which days of the week perform best
- Schedule your content publishing accordingly to maximize engagement
Geographic Targeting
Use location data to refine your targeting strategy:
- Identify regions where your content performs well
- Consider creating region-specific campaigns for high-performing areas
- Adjust content timing based on time zones of your most engaged audiences
Tip: Export your analytics data to CSV or Excel format for deeper analysis or to combine with data from other marketing tools.
Creating Custom Reports
ttny.io allows Pro and Business users to create and schedule custom reports:
Report Configuration
To set up a custom report:
- Go to the Analytics section and click "Custom Reports"
- Click "Create New Report"
- Select the links, metrics, and date range you want to include
- Choose the report format (PDF, CSV, or Excel)
- Save your report configuration with a descriptive name
Scheduling Reports
To receive regular reports automatically:
- After creating a report, click "Schedule"
- Select the frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly)
- Choose the delivery day and time
- Add email recipients who should receive the report
- Click "Save Schedule" to activate
