Introduction

Creating an account on ttny.io is the first step to accessing our powerful URL shortening and analytics tools. This guide will walk you through the account creation process and help you get started with our platform.

Sign-up Process

Follow these simple steps to create your ttny.io account:

Step 1: Navigate to the Sign-up Page

Visit ttny.io/signup or click the "Sign Up Free" button in the top navigation bar of our website.

Tip: You can also sign up directly from our homepage by clicking the "Get Started" button.

Step 2: Choose Your Sign-up Method

You have several options to create your account:

  • Email and Password: Enter your email address and create a secure password
  • Google Account: Click the "Continue with Google" button to use your Google account
  • Apple ID: Click the "Continue with Apple" button to use your Apple ID

Step 3: Complete Your Profile

After choosing your sign-up method, you'll need to:

  1. Enter your full name
  2. Choose a username (this will be visible in your dashboard)
  3. Select your account type (Personal or Business)
  4. Accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Step 4: Verify Your Email

We'll send a verification email to the address you provided. Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account.

Note: If you don't see the verification email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder.

Step 5: Choose Your Plan

After verifying your email, you'll be prompted to select a plan:

  • Free: Basic URL shortening with limited analytics
  • Pro: Advanced features including custom domains and detailed analytics
  • Business: Enterprise-level features with team collaboration tools

You can start with the Free plan and upgrade at any time.

Account Settings

After creating your account, you can customize your settings by:

  1. Clicking on your profile picture in the top-right corner
  2. Selecting "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu
  3. Updating your profile information, password, and notification preferences

Tip: We recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security. You can set this up in the Security section of your Account Settings.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the sign-up process:

  • Email verification not received: Check your spam folder or request a new verification email from the login page
  • Password requirements: Ensure your password is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters
  • Username already taken: Try a different username or add numbers/characters to make it unique
